The home of my favourite wines.
I’d recommend a visit here even if you’re not a huge sauv blanc fan like me, the region is also well known for growing Pinot noirs and reislings.
You can’t throw a stone in Marlborough without hitting a vineyard or winery so it would be a great place to do a wine tasting tour.
We went to Villa Maria (New Zealand’s most decorated winery) which although not one of the most charismatic or educational tastings....was free! So, you know, can’t complain!
Other famous brands in the area include Brancott Estate and Cloudy Bay.
