Byron Bay

Cool surfer town a couple of hours south of Brisbane. Epic waves with proper barrels, check out the cool kids and venture in if you’re brave enough- but not an ideal place to learn to surf (especially if it’s windy).
Great place to kayak and check out marine life. It’s fairly common to spot turtles here and a pod of 300+ dolphins live in Byron Bay. We went with Cape Byron Kayaks, who boast a 90% chance of seeing dolphins. It wasn’t our best/favourite kayaking experience.....but as promised we saw loads of dolphins up close- pretty epic!!
