Stunning river side city, looks great in the day and at night!
If you’re going to use public transport you’ll need cash or a go card.....or a reaaaaally nice bus driver who takes pity on you.
You can use the city hopper in the CBD which is a free river ferry service- it’s easy to get about and is a great way to see the city at night.
Take a photo with the iconic Brisbane sign and relax in their swimming pools right in the middle of town. Check out their botanic gardens and carve a message for your future self in their bamboo grove.
Loads of good eats and bars about.
Total highlight is the koala sanctuary just outside the city- Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. You can see all the iconic Australian animals such as dingoes, wombats and Tasmanian devils. But also get up close and personal with some kangaroos, feed them and steal a few cuddles. But my favourite was of course: koala cuddles. For $25 you can hold a koala and get a professional photo of the experience. Experience of a lifetime and worth every penny!
