WELCOME TO RACHELEATWORLD

A full belly conquers all!
This blog is mostly for my mum.....who manages to be interested in anything I write, whether it’s a silly poem or a boring essay. But if it manages to help anyone else- then great :)
It will cover the travel experiences of my Husband and I, but will most focus on my passion of food! We’ll be based in New Zealand for the next six months but then we’ll be travelling all over....and I intend to eat my way around the world.

Karekare Beach

Beautiful, secluded, quiet beach- lovely even though it was crazy windy!

Karekare Falls

Short walk to a beautiful waterfall. Only a 10 minute walk from the car park but it’d be way worth a longer trek!

Forest trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall, you can carry on a little further to see the view from the top of the waterfall...

Iconic landmark on Piha beach. You can climb most of the way up....but honestly it’s more impressive to look at from the beach!

Tasman Lookout

Great little trail at the southern end of Piha Beach. Awesome views of the bay and Lion’s Rock.

Piha Beach

Amazing glittering black sand, beautiful even without much sunshine- stunning coastline.
